they say it's inevitable

I'm not sure this is quite what "they" meant.

My mother's teenage crush on Mr. Spock is infamous in my family, so I took her to see the new movie for Mother's Day last year, and there's been a lot of silliness ever since. (I have seen the entirety of the original series now, too - not sure why it took me so long to get around it.)

I'm a little iffy on this strip, mostly because I'm really not sure about the distribution of shading in the bottom panel. Also I don't think I quite did my mom justice.
