Page Two

I did a couple of holiday art exchanges this year. One of them's still running, so I'll have to hold off on posting that piece, but here's the other.

This two-page comic is based on one of my very favorite novels, Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. The characters involved are Aziraphale (a rather frumpy, book-loving angel) and Crowley (a slick, sunglasses-wearing demon); the two are good (if unorthodox) friends.

In this strip, Crowley hires some children to torment his friend so that he can wander in and "console" him; Aziraphale of course is not fooled for a second, and gets his revenge. (Crowley has been known to say that Aziraphale is "just enough of a bastard to be worth liking.") I'm very pleased with my rendition of both characters here.

Actually, this is one of my favorite pieces of the year, aside from one or two problem panels. I did it rather quickly, but it was very fun to do.
